A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider serving that result. Westlake Residents Directory does not retain a separate copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains only the material you include and is used to answer that message.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site may receive ordinary server-log details such as an IP address, browser type, page views, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
That limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to County and State portals, court systems, archives, libraries, and third-party search tools. Their own privacy practices govern information sent to them, including data submitted through sponsored results.
Who Can Process It
Hosting and support providers may process logs for the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic technical data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and log information is retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no site accounts, this service does not maintain a visitor password or profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent us personal information, and we will remove it.
Your Information Choices
You may ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information this service holds. Ohio research did not identify a general consumer-privacy deletion statute applicable to all records. Since we keep very little, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and available logs. Use the Contact page. Records held by Ohio, Cuyahoga County, or Westlake remain under the controlling custodian, not this service.
